Kazuko and Nicolas are finally ready to take
the vacation trip they had planned for 2 years.
"The Cab is here!"
"We are on time for check in!"
"That was pretty fast.
Luckily the airport is not too busy at this hour"
"We are ready to board our plane!"
Kazuko and Nicolas finally arrived at the Val-André.
The first place they go to with sister Marie is la Linguare
from where they have a nice view over the ocean and the Verdelet island.
"This is my favorite place!" says Nicolas.
Sunday, they went for a walk with Marie to Sables d'or
which has beautiful sand dunes.
On the way back, they stopped to look at the Chateau de Bienassis.
The ocean is so beautiful at this time of the day.
Monday, they drove to Dinard
where they took a boat to reach Saint Malo.
They went to the Grand Bé island where Chateaubriand's tomb is.
From the other side of the Grand Bé,
you have a nice view over Saint-Malo's fortified walls.
Saint-Malo was a Corsair city.
Tuesday, they went to the market to buy some fresh food.
Then drove to the city of Dinan.
Wednesday, they took the road to La Baule
where they are going to stay with Brother Christophe and wife Laetitia.
On the way, they stopped to take a boat ride along the Odet river,
which goes from the Atlantic ocean up to the city of Quimper.
And a stop for dinner at Vannes.
La Baule: at low tide, the locals go down to the beach to dig for shells
that they will eat for dinner.
Visit of the salt swamps.
Le Croisic is a very cute harbor.
In Saint-Nazaire, this giant blockhaus
was hosting German U-boats during WW2.
Saturday, they are joined by niece Adria and mom Marie-Christine
for a 4 1/2 mile long guided walk across the Mont Saint-Michel bay.
Legend says a Dragon is sleeping there.
Can you see him?

"The view on the bay is so beautiful from up here!"
Sunday, the weather is a little rainy
so they put on their raincoat and go far a walk along the coast.
On Monday, Kazuko and Nicolas took a road trip
to the enchanted forest of Brocéliande
which is inhabited by fairies and other magical beings.
Kazuko and Nicolas got invited to sit down
and listen to a story.
Then they went to look at Vivien's lair
The faux-amants's rock
Merlin's chair
Escalibur
And Merlin's tomb
Moncontour is another cute medieval city.
Nearby is a beautiful church named Notre Dame du haut.
And a miraculous fountain that cures rhumatism.
Wednesday, they took a boat to go discover Bréhat island.
Bréhat is a very small island with no vehicles.
Thursday. This is their last day in Bretagne.
Tomorrow they are driving back to Paris,
so they go for a walk along the coast south of Dahouët.
And they finish their stay right where it started, at la Linguare.
Kazuko and Nicolas are back to Paris.
But they still have a few adventures
before going back to the US.
Nicolas made a surprise to Kazuko:
He took her for a candle-lit visit of
the Chateau de Vaux-le-Vicomte.
On their last day in France,
they went to visit the fountains of the Chateau de Versailles.
Kazuko and Nicolas are back in the plane to the US.
This was a beautiful trip!
